Jun 14, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Changes have been made in the Supervisory Board and Executive Board of Latvijas Finieris. The former Chairman of the Supervisory Board Juris Biķis has left his position and will further serve as advisor and representative of Latvijas Finieris in cooperation with state and public organizations, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. 

Hence, the Supervisory Board has been elected as follows: Uldis Biķis, Chairman, along with previous Board members Juris Matvejs and Andris Pucens.

As the new Chairman of Supervisory Board Uldis Biķis was previously the Chairman of the Executive Board of Latvijas Finieris, the number of Executive Board members has been reduced from six to five. Existing members of Executive Board will continue their work as follows: Chairman – Janis Ciems, Board members – Pauls Abele, Aigars Veitmans, Martins Lacis and Indulis Kovisars.

Focusing on its core business – development, manufacture and sales of birch plywood, Latvijas Finieris is also active in forest management, logging and production of synthetic resin and phenol films.
