Lauri Peltola appointed Metsaliitto Senior Vice President
May 27, 2005. The Board of Directors of Metsaliitto Cooperative has decided to strengthen the Metsaliitto Group’s communications and public affairs functions. Pekka Kivela, 57, who has been responsible for both functions since 1995, will in future focus on managing public affairs. Lauri Peltola CCJ, 42, has been appointed Metsaliitto’s new Senior Vice President, Group Communications with effect from 6 June 2005. Kivela and Peltola report to Kari Jordan, President and CEO of Metsaliitto Cooperative.

Mr Peltola will take up his new position from Nokia Oyj, where he is currently Global Media Relations Director. Previous to this he was head of communications with Nordea bank from 1999-2005 and financial journalist for MTV from 1997-1999.
