Lecta confirms price increase on coated woodfree deliveries

Mar 04, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Lecta will continue implementing the announced price increase of 5 to 6% on its CWF paper in all channels and markets justified by the high level prices of main raw materials, transport and energy, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
After the success in the price movement in its distribution network in the southern part of Europe, Lecta confirms that price increase will be totally consolidated till end of March also in the rest of the EEA.
Further price increases will be needed in 2013 to recover the minimum profitability that would guarantee actual quality and service levels, the company said.
Lecta is one of the largest manufacturers of coated woodfree paper (CWF) worldwide and a leader in the European specialty papers market. It comprises three companies with a long tradition in their home markets: Cartiere del Garda in Italy, Condat in France and Torraspapel in Spain.
