The Board of Directors of Longview Timber Corp. appointed Ronald Triemstra as President and CFO of Longview, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. Ron joined Longview in December 2007 as Director of Finance and in January 2009 became CFO. Ron has spent his career in the forest industry with significant experience in the timberlands sector. His extensive timberlands financial background is complemented by his knowledge of the business 'on-the-ground'. Longview Timber owns and manages 651,000 acres of prime, freehold timberlands in Washington and Oregon comprised of high value species with excellent growth rates and significant standing timber inventories. Longview is managed by Brookfield Timberlands Management LP.
