Apr 25, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Metso Paper will supply a nonwoven line rebuild to Glatfelter Composite Fibers Business Unit in Gernsbach, Germany. The value of the order, part of Glatfelter’s investment project of $10 million, is not disclosed. The line will be rebuilt at the end of the 2Q 2008 and will be started up again early in the 3Q 2008. The rebuild includes a new pick-up transfer section and a Honeycomb through-air dryer for the mill’s PM 11. Glatfelter is a global manufacturer of specialty papers and engineered products. The company is a world leader in tea and coffee filtration paper products. International operations include facilities in Germany, France, UK, and the Philippines. Metso Paper specializes in pulp, paper and power generation industry processes, machinery, equipment and aftermarket services.
