Metso will acquire the lime kiln and recausticizing business of FLSmidth through an exclusive license to the technology concerned. The acquired business will be affiliated to Metso’s Pulp, Paper and Power segment, Fiber business line. The value of the transaction will not be disclosed.

May 28, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Metso will acquire the lime kiln and recausticizing business of FLSmidth
through an exclusive license to the technology concerned. The acquired business
will be affiliated to Metso’s Pulp, Paper and Power segment, Fiber business
line. The value of the transaction will not be disclosed, as the company said
in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
A new lime kiln TechnologyCenter employing 15-25
persons will be established in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The acquisition will complement Metso’s portfolio as a full scope
supplier to the pulp industry, and is in line with Metso's strategy to be the
leading global supplier of equipment and processes to the pulp and paper
industry.
The closing of the transaction is expected to take place during the 2Q 2013.
