Jul 15, 2005. /Lesprom Network/ Mondi Global may build a timber-processing enterprise in Komi Republic, spokesperson for the Ministry of natural resources of Russia announced. The following suggestion was announced during the visit of the Minister of natural resources Yuri Trutnev to South Africa on July, 15 2005. Mondi Global also expressed a concern about the lack of road infrastructure on the territory of the Komi Republic, which reduces the access to the forestries. Yuri Trutnev assured the management of the company that Russia will provide all necessary conditions for the companies interested in investing in the regional timber-processing subsector. Mondi Global (owned by Anglo American) already owns a timber-processing enterprise in Syktyvkar.
