Oct 19, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Montenegrin wood processing company Gornji Ibar resumed production at its veneer unit Panel on October 17, 2005, putting into operation two production lines and reemploying 60 workers.
Gornji Ibar has recently resumed operation at its forestry and wood beams production units after a three-month halt due to financial difficulties. The company reemployed 140 of its workers.
Gornji Ibar plans to restart the third production line at the Panel unit and to reemploy between 15 and 20 workers within a week, company's technical consultant Nusret Kalac said.
The company also seeks to restart production at its joinery and lamella units.
Gornji Ibar was able to restart operations due to financial support from the Montenegrin government, including Euro 100 000 aid for the production and Euro 45 000 for the company's social programme.
