Dec 01, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. The European Patent Organization has granted patent related to Munksjö's Acti-V® release papers and the method of manufacturing such papers. Patent protection has also been granted this year in the United States of America and in Australia and Munksjö has pending patent applications in other countries worldwide, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Acti-V® supercalandered release papers for silicone coating are used as liners for Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) labelling, as well as for specialty tape and industrial applications. Silicone curing requires less catalyst (platinum) and energy. At the same time, silicone anchorage to the paper surface is stronger and more durable, even in challenging environmental conditions.

"Acti-V® is widely recognized in the PSA market, it is used on industrial coaters worldwide and it represents today the large majority of our release papers production.
