Jun 22, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. The negotiations on personnel reduction, a part of Myllykoski Paper's profitability improvement programme, have been concluded. A cut of 92 permanently employed persons has been agreed upon.
The contract includes significant changes in working practices and will bring decisive cost savings.
When reducing the number of personnel, so-called "soft" ways will be applied, meaning for example retirement arrangements.
In addition to the cooperation negotiations, the new maintenance model will be finalized with the choice of a partner after Midsummer.
Myllykoski Paper presently employs a total of 790 persons.
Myllykoski Paper markets, develops and manufactures high-quality wood-containing publication papers profitably, efficiently and competitively. Its products are uncoated SC papers and coated MWC papers for rotogravure and offset printing of magazines, catalogues, advertising inserts and brochures. Myllykoski Paper is a subsidiary of Myllykoski Corporation (65%) and M-real Corporation (35%).
