NewPage introduces a new high-performance bottle label paper called EcoPoint® Plus, which features 10% post-consumer waste (PCW) recycled fiber, the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. EcoPoint Plus is third-party chain-of-custody certified to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) (BV-COC-953662), the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) schemes. EcoPoint Plus is available in 70, 75 and 80 grams per square meter (gsm) basis weights and features a bright, white, high-fidelity print surface for excellent artwork reproduction in offset and rotogravure printing, NewPage said. Additionaly, the new paper is suitable for high-speed converting and labeling processes and features reverse-side coatings that are engineered for hot-melt adhesives, the company said.
