The first market indices show that prices in continental Europe will be continue to go down. According to one of the sources prices in Germany are rather stable, while other sources claim that the prices dropped to EUR 10/ton. Some traders assume that the suppliers drag out the negotiations on the segment of final contracts. Paper producers are reluctant to sign agreements while prices declined below the 2002 level and hope to make up for the losses gaining interest in 2005.
