They're doled out in the good times, often signaling that the company has too much money and no place to put it - which was the case with Norbord Inc. on Wednesday.
The company, which makes panel board, said it will pay investors a special dividend of $1 per share, and this comes after a $1 special dividend in September. It also comes on top of the company's $0.10 per share quarterly dividend.
