Oji Lao Plantation Forest Company received FSC® certification
Oji Lao Plantation Forest Company Ltd. (LPFL) received FSC certification. By this FSC certification, it has been confirmed by third-party authority that LPFL forest operation is environmentally considered and responsibly managed.

Sep 16, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Oji Lao Plantation Forest Company Ltd. (LPFL), which is a joint venture
of Lao Government and a joint holding company invested by Oji group, lately received
FSC certification. By this FSC certification, it has been confirmed by third-party
authority that LPFL forest operation is environmentally considered and
responsibly managed, as the company said in the press release received by
Lesprom Network.
Planted trees reaching harvesting stage will be mainly utilized for
value added wood products such as sawn timber and plywood, while partly be
chipped as raw material of paper. All of those products will be sold by Oji
Forest & Product Co., Ltd.
LPFL started its operation in 1999 and presently manages 18 thousand
hectares of eucalyptus and acacia plantation.
Oji group maintains totally 284 thousand hectares of overseas forest
plantation projects, at 14 sites in 9 countries worldwide, of which 237 thousand
hectares hold FSC FM/COC certification.
