Since July 2016, Christoph Sander has combined the roles of Executive Chairman and CEO of OptiGroup in order to lead the transformation journey that was agreed with the majority shareholders, Altor and Triton. The Group has made good progress during 2016 and 2017, and has laid a strong foundation for the future.

In advance of the next stage of development for OptiGroup, and in order to comply with best corporate governance principles, it has been decided that the roles of Chairman and CEO will be separated. Christoph Sander will continue as President and CEO of OptiGroup, and Johan Sjö has been appointed non-executive Chairman of OptiGroup.

Johan Sjö is currently President and CEO of Addtech, a well-known listed and Stockholm based company. Johan has successfully led Addtech for many years, during which time Addtech achieved a very value-creating listing of AddLife on the Stockholm Stock exchange. Johan will bring valuable experience to the Board.

Jan Johansson, who recently joined Triton as an industrial advisor, has also joined the OptiGroup Board and takes over from Luc Hendriks as the Triton appointed Board member. Jan was formerly President and CEO of SCA and Boliden, and brings relevant industry experience and insight in the areas of significant growth for OptiGroup.

Nancy Lester, who was formerly Director of Corporate Development at Bunzl plc in London has also been appointed to the Board as an independent non-executive Director. She will bring considerable international M&A and legal experience to the Board.
