Pöyry's infrastructure & environment business group strengthens its quantity and cost calculation know-how by acquiring 100% of the shares of Insinööritoimisto Rakennuslaskenta NHL Oy, Finland. Rakennuslaskenta NHL had sales of Euro 2 million in 2006 and its business operations are profitable. Established in 1982 and employing 23 experts, Rakennuslaskenta NHL is the oldest company in Finland specialising in quantity calculations. In addition to quantity and cost calculations the company offers building consulting and condition assessment services. The company has operations in the Turku and Helsinki economic regions and it has also experience of international projects. The clienteles of Pöyry and Rakennuslaskenta NHL complement each other well. The acquisition strengthens Pöyry's supply of services and further increases its business both domestically and in Russia and the Baltic countries. The former owners of Rakennuslaskenta NHL will continue in Pöyry's employment after the transaction. Pöyry is a global consulting and engineering firm focusing on the energy, forest industry and infrastructure & environment sectors. Pöyry's net sales in 2006 amounted to about Euro 620 million and it employs 6400 experts.
