The Supervisory Board of Pfleiderer AG has appointed Elmar Geissinger member of the Board with effect from May 14, 2012, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. Horst Piepenburg as the custodian has confirmed the appointment. Following the resignation of CEO Hans Overdiek the Supervisory Board has appointed restructuring expert Elmar Geissinger. Together with the second board member Hans-Joachim Ziems, Geissinger will now drive forward the restructuring of Pfleiderer AG by means of an insolvency plan. Geissinger, a partner with consulting firm Ziems & Partner who has longstanding experience in corporate restructurings, has been involved in the restructuring of Pfleiderer AG since February 2011. The Supervisory Board will decide on the future structure of the board upon completion of the restructuring. The Pfleiderer Group is one of the worldwide leading manufacturers of engineered wood, surface finished products and laminate flooring.
