Jun 02, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. Sigurd Skotte has been appointed Managing Director of Ponsse AS, a subsidiary of Ponsse Plc. The appointment will take effect on 1 September 2011. The current Managing Director of Ponsse AS, Lyder Ellevold, will retire part-time but will continue to work for Ponsse AS, being responsible for marketing-related project assignments, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. Sigurd Skotte will transfer to Ponsse AS from Tretorget AS, where he has worked as a project manager in the forest sector. Mr Skotte has been employed by Ponsse AS previously from 2005 to 2007, during which time he was responsible for marketing and worked as a salesperson. Sigurd Skotte will report to Jarmo Vidgrén, Sales and Marketing Director of Ponsse Plc, and his office will be located in Kongsvinger, Norway. Ponsse Plc is a company specialising in the sales, manufacture, servicing and technology of cut-to-length method forest machines. The company was established by forest machine entrepreneur Einari Vidgrén in 1970, and it has been a leader in timber harvesting solutions based on the cut-to-length method ever since.
