Jul 08, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko signed a law on the moratorium on the export of unprocessed timber, this is stated on the website of the parliament of Ukraine. The draft law amending the ban returned a signed by president on July 7.The law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading on February 5 this year, overall - 9 April. The explanatory note to the document states that the temporary ban as a 10-year moratorium on the export of wood abroad, will enable direct raw material in the Ukraine, create jobs, provide significant state budget revenues."The adoption of the law will help reorient the export of logs and other wood raw material for products greater degree of processing, creating more value added timber articles which is a national treasure, promotion of wood and wood processing industry, " - said in a statement. The law temporarily (for 10 years) prohibits the exportation outside the customs territory of Ukraine of untreated wood from all tree species, except pine - from November 1, 2015, including pine - from January 1, 2017.
