May 25, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Russian Archbum sent its first vessel carrying the products of Arkhangelsky pulp and paper enterprise for export, Arkhangelsky public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. According to Archbum foreign economic ties department chief Dmitri Zilev, Arkhangelsky sent ‘The Pioneer of Yakutia’ vessel from Economia cargo terminal to Germany with 1,13 thousand tons of pulp on board. Zamoskvorechie vessel will enter Arkhangelsk port Bakaritsa terminal to take 1,9 thousand tons of cardboard to be exported to Germany and 1,1 thousand tons of pulp to be exported to the UK. Archbum exports about 60% of Arkhangelsky products by sea. Besides, the enterprise is presently building a railway terminal to receive and dispatch cargo to large-tonnage containers.
