Russian Gasenergofinance group of companies invested more than $3 million in PsebaiLesProm created on the basis of Psebaisky experimental mill, Gasenergofinance public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. PsebaiLesProm is the fourth enterprise to join Gasenergofinance already owning Novaya Vyatka chip- and hardboard mill (Kirovsky region), Solderk timber-processing mill (Vologda region), Arkhangelsky timber processing mill. The newly acquired enterprise is expected to reach project capacity in the second quarter of 2004. The enterprise will manufacture high-quality production for export (lead, furniture half-finished products, joiner’s boards and other goods)made of hardwood (beech, hornbeam and oak). According to preliminary estimates, annual production will reach 20 thousand cub m and will top the charts in the South federal region. Gasenergofinance intends to improve cooperation between Novaya Vyatka chip- and hardboard mill and PsebaiLesProm in order to efficiently penetrate the furniture market.
