Jun 04, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Russian Krasnoyarsk region will toughen timber business licensing rules, Krasnoyarsk region timber sector department deputy chief Vyacheslav Khomyakov said. According to Komyakov the following measures are taken in order to organize and toughen control over the regional timber business. The following rules will be applied to all timber industry enterprises. Timber-producing enterprises shall own equipment and have a separate production site. The enterprises shall also be listed in the regional tax control institutions. Vyacheslav Khomyakov said: ‘One of the main goals the innovation intends to reach is to guarantee that the regional economic and social interests are met’. The rules still requiring approval will be introduced in the non-too-distant future.
