Nov 23, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Slovak paper producer Tento posted a profit of SKK 15 million ($454 100) for the first eight months of 2005. No comparative figures were available. The company generated a revenue of SKK 2.22 billion ($67.2 million) for the period. Toilet paper sales accounted for SKK 1.296 billion ($39.2 million) of total revenue. Kitchen paper towel sales stood at SKK 388 million ($11.7 million), while tissue paper sales stood at SKK 260 million ($7.9 million). Exports accounted for 81% of the company's revenue for the first eight months of 2005. Main export destinations were Germany, the Czech Republic and Denmark. Tento, established in 1997, is based in Zilina, northern Slovakia. The company is majority owned by local Tento Slovakia. At the end of August 2005, Tento had 594 employees and the average monthly salary at the company stood at SKK 21 354 ($647).
