Slovenia: Value of purchased roundwood decreased by 17% in January 2015
Slovenia's value of roundwood purchased in January 2015 amounted to Euro 2.9 million and was thus 12% lower than in December 2014 and about 17% lower than in January 2014. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by almost 2%, of wood fuel by about 32% and of pulpwood by 38%. The value of purchased other industrial roundwood was almost 7% higher.

roundwood purchased in January 2015 amounted to Euro 2.9 million and was thus
12% lower than in December 2014 and about 17% lower than in January 2014, as
the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press
release received by Lesprom Network.
The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by almost 2%,
of wood fuel by about 32% and of pulpwood by 38%. The value of purchased other
industrial roundwood was almost 7% higher.
The total value of roundwood purchased in January 2015 was about 17%
lower than in January 2014, mainly due to lower quantity of purchased sawlogs
conifers. The value of purchased wood fuel was higher by about 16%. Lower than
in January 2014 was the value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs (by about
19%), of pulpwood (by 18%) and of other industrial roundwood (by 26%).
