Compared to the previous year, in 2014 the exports of sawlogs and veneer logs increased the most (by about 60%), followed by the exports of pulpwood and other industrial roundwood (by more than 70%). Higher were also the exports of wood fuel (by almost 20%).
In 2014 about 455,000 cubic meters of roundwood were imported, or about 21% less than in 2013. The structure of imports was dominated by pulpwood and other industrial roundwood, with a 46% share; the share of wood fuel imports was 37% and the share of sawlogs and veneer logs imports was 17%.
Compared to the previous year, in 2014 the imports of wood fuel decreased the most (by 32%), followed by the imports of pulpwood and other industrial roundwood (by about 23%).
