Jun 18, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Slovenia's total value of roundwood purchased in April 2014 amounted to Euro 5.5 million, which is about 15% more than in the previous month. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by almost 10%, of pulpwood by about 26% and of wood fuel by almost 45%. The value of purchased other industrial roundwood was almost 4% lower than in the previous month, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The total value of roundwood purchased in April 2014 was about 119% higher than in April 2013, mainly due to higher quantity of purchased pulpwood and wood fuel. The value of purchased pulpwood was more than three times higher than in April 2013, while the value of purchased wood fuel was more than twice higher. Higher were also the values of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs (by 86%) and other industrial roundwood (by 92%).
