In this role, Mr. Adamson will be responsible for SEC reporting matters and regulatory compliance. Mr. Adamson will report to Louis Brill, chief accounting officer. Mr. Adamson has been with Temple-Inland for 14 years and currently serves as assistant general counsel, securities and corporate governance. Before joining the company, he worked with a large Texas law firm and an international accounting firm. He graduated with a bachelor of business administration from Texas Tech University and a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University and is a licensed certified public accountant. In making this announcement, Doyle R. Simons, executive vice president, said, "Grant's education and experience make him ideally suited for this position and will allow him to effectively and efficiently oversee the governance and compliance functions of the company." Carolyn Sloan has been named vice president - internal audit. In this role, Ms. Sloan's responsibilities include internal audit, security and Temple-Inland's risk management process. Ms. Sloan will continue to report to Louis Brill, chief accounting officer. Ms. Sloan joined Temple-Inland in 2001 as director of internal audit. Prior to joining Temple-Inland, she served in various audit and accounting roles with Quaker State Oil Company, PepsiCo, and AMR. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of business administration and is a certified public accountant. In making this announcement, Mr. Simons said, "Carolyn's performance in leading internal audit has been outstanding. Her background, skills and competencies will enable her to successfully manage her expanded responsibilities."
