May 10, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. Temple-Inland announced that Grant F. Adamson has been named chief governance officer and Troy L. Hester has been named corporate controller. These changes are part of the transition resulting from the planned retirement of Louis R. Brill, chief accounting officer, August 31, 2006. In his new role as chief governance officer, Mr. Adamson will be responsible for SEC reporting, regulatory compliance and emergency management. In addition, Mr. Adamson will serve as the principal liaison with the audit committee of the board of directors and will report to Doyle Simons, executive vice president. Mr. Adamson has been with Temple-Inland for 14 years and has served in various capacities including assistant general counsel, securities and currently serves as vice president governance. Before joining Temple-Inland, Mr. Adamson worked with a large Texas law firm and an international accounting firm. He graduated with a Bachelor of business administration from Texas Tech University and with a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University and is a licensed certified public accountant. In his new role as corporate controller, Mr. Hester will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and financial systems. Mr. Hester will continue to report to Randy Levy, chief financial officer. Mr. Hester has been with Temple-Inland for six years and has served in various capacities including controller-financial services and currently serves as vice president accounting center. Before joining Temple-Inland, Mr. Hester was deputy controller for a large regional bank and prior to that worked with an international accounting firm. He graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of business administration and is a licensed certified public accountant. Temple-Inland Inc. operates four business segments: corrugated packaging, forest products, real estate and financial services.
