Jun 21, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. U.S. total kraft paper shipments in May 2013 were 128.5 thousand tons, a decrease of 3.3% compared to the prior month, as the American Forest & Paper Association said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.

Bleached kraft paper shipments increased year-over-year 24.5%, but the 11.5% year-over-year decline in the larger category of unbleached kraft paper shipments was enough to bring overall kraft paper shipments down 7% year-over-year.

Total month-end inventory increased 6.3% to 70.7 thousand tons this month compared to April 2013 month-end inventories.
