Production in the West for the year totaled 12.903 billion feet, down 20.9% from the 2007 total, as Random Lengths informed Lesprom Network. Production in the South totaled 14.629 billion feet in 2008, off 13.9% from the 2007 total. In December 2008, total U.S. production was 1.609 billion feet, down 27.7% from December 2007.
