Railway cargo transportation was 6 million tons down 7% within 11 months in 2003 compared with the prior period in 2002, cargo turnover increased 30% to 7100 million tons per sq m. Loaded cars number increased 1,5 times to 318 thousand units, average daily detraining was 996 cars/day.
Cargo car demurrage during single loading/unloading session went down 2,6 hours (3%) to 21 hours, transit car demurrage declined 1,2 hours (16%) to 8 hours.
Crimea republic sea transport increased shipping 26% to 825 thousand tons including interior shipping - 64% of total turnover - up 37%.
