Swedish wood products company VIDA has changed its mind about laying off six employees at its Ryd pallet factory and will keep production at a high rate, even during the autumn, as reported by TTJ. Meanwhile, VIDA Bruz AB’s Bellösågen sawmill will switch to cutting only pine in the autumn. This means that the sawmill will cut about 80,000 cubic meters of pine and Hjältevad will process about 225,000 cubic meters of spruce. VIDA said large investments in Hjältevad enabled efficient production even on reduced hours.
