Jun 18, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. West Fraser Timber appointed Ted Seraphim as the company's Executive Vice-President and COO, effective July 1, 2010. In his new role Mr. Seraphim will be primarily responsible for the successful implementation of West Fraser's operating strategies and plans including the proper allocation of human and other resources, the company said in a statement received by Lesprom Network. Mr. Seraphim, a Chartered Accountant, joined West Fraser in 1997 and is currently Vice-President, Pulp & Paper. He has over 25 years of experience in the forest products industry, including operations, marketing and sales. Hank Ketcham, West Fraser's Chairman, President and CEO said, "I am delighted that Ted will be assuming broader responsibilities as a key member of our executive team. Our pulp business has made significant improvements under his leadership, including the development of a strong management group. I look forward to working closely with Ted as he transitions to take broader operational responsibility."
