BRATSK LOGGING COMPLEX ups production 22% in Jan-Sept
The Bratsk logging complex (Irkutsk region), one of Russia's biggest makers of pulp and paper products, increased product output 21.8% to 5.05 billion rubles in the first three quarters of this year, a press release from the timber industry corporation Ilim Pulp Enterprise reports.
The complex prepared 1.4 million cubic meters of wood during this period, 3.5% more year-on-year, along with 17,100 cubic meters of lumber (none in 2001), 92,400 cubic meters of plywood (1.3% less) and 338,800 tonnes of commodity pulp (16.8% more).

The press release also reports that Ilim Pulp Enterprise has forwarded more than four million rubles to the Bratsk area of the Irkutsk region for forest renewal this year, 25% more than it did last year.
