EWD ended interim management, the decision was approved at the general meeting and was confirmed by Tuebingen (Germany) administrative law court. ‘EstererWD - one of the world’s leading sawing equipment producers - reorganization was successfully finished’, Ex-interim manager Folker Grub (Stuttgart, Germany) said. The result of the successful interim management was the payment of credit debentures by EWD in accordance with the scheme agreed with the creditors. New credit lines worth EUR 7 million were created, the project in progress financing will continue. After the reorganization is through, the shareholders have recovered financial independence. Presently the company employs 300 workers. ‘The end of reorganization opens new horizons for our company’, company manager Andre Fei said. ‘First, we should mention that the reorganization process affects the commercial activity of the company, taking into consideration the vast number of orders to supply sawmill equipment to Eastern Europe and China. The new markets shall be occupied more actively. Besides EWD opened an office in Moscow (Russia). Further steps have been taken to allocate a separate budget for the overseas development.’
