Aug 28, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Huhtamäki Foodservice Finland Oy and Suomen Kerta Oy have entered into a strategic manufacturing and supply agreement. Starting from mid October 2014 Huhtamaki will manufacture the hot and cold drink paper cups for Suomen Kerta's product ranges. The paper cups will be manufactured at Huhtamaki's facility in Hämeenlinna, where paper cups have been manufactured since 1960's, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The agreement follows Suomen Kerta's strategic decision to concentrate its manufacturing operations on napkins, plates and candles, as well as the recently acquired DeLight Solutions product range. Suomen Kerta will cease its own paper cup manufacturing in Imatra, Finland.

Paper cups are at the very core of Huhtamaki's product range globally and the Group has significant expertise as well as product development capability in manufacturing paper cups. The Group currently has paper cup production in 24 manufacturing units across the world.
