Ilim Group gets new $1.5 million equipment
Oct 06, 2011. A 65 ton bark press manufactured by Saalasti (Finland) was delivered to the Bratsk Branch of OJSC Ilim Group, Russia. This new piece of equipment which cost $1.5 million was purchased as part of the Big Bratsk investment project involving the construction of a new fiberline.
Oct 06, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. A 65 ton bark press manufactured by Saalasti (Finland) was delivered to the Bratsk Branch of OJSC Ilim Group, Russia. This new piece of equipment which cost $1.5 million was purchased as part of the Big Bratsk investment project involving the construction of a new fiberline, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
The bark press is intended for pressing bark and wood waste until it reaches the required moisture content of 53-55% prior to being fed into bark boilers.
A lot of ground work was completed to prepare the site for the delivery of the press by clearing adjacent areas, preparing the driveway, and acquiring a lowboy trailer of the required capacity.
