The ministry is preparing the law prohibiting illegal timber and products trade. According to the minister, today only FSC world-acknowleged certification can guarantee the origin of raw timber, and therefore Germany will soon import timber from FSC-certified companies. The similar step to combat illegal logging is prepared on the EU level.
