Jul 19, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. At the beginning of June 2004, NEUSIEDLER SCP and its subsidiaries Service s.r.o. and Slovenskб paroplynovб spolocnost a.s. were certified according to ISO 14001. The certification audit was conducted by the Austrian ЦQS GmbH from June 7 to 9, 2004. This certification is fully in line with NEUSIEDLER and Mondi’s aim to gain theme leadership in environmental issues. The target of certifying all mills according to ISO 14001 will be achieved by the end of 2004 when OJSC NEUSIEDLER Syktyvkar is expected to receive the certification. In Ruћomberok the certification signals the end of the certification process that was started in October 2003. At NEUSIEDLER SCP, Mr. Jбn Mojs was in charge of coordinating the process together with his ISO team and the environmental team headed by Mrs. Olga Sotolovб. Mr Mojs and his team also worked in close cooperation with all business units and competence centres. ISO certification at Ruћomberok is one more milestone in the optimisation process to become a pulp and paper mill among the world’s most advanced ones. NEUSIEDLER SCP’s IMPULS investment programme, which is drawing to a close, has resulted in a considerable reduction of the mill’s environmental impact and is thus fully in line with the environmental guidelines defined in ISO 14001.
