Jun 15, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. MDAX-listed Pfleiderer AG extends its board of management to include technical operations/plants. With effect from January 1, 2007 at latest or September 1, 2006 if possible, Dr. Robert Hopperdietzel has been appointed to the board of management with responsibility for technical operations/plants. In this newly created post, Dr. Hopperdietzel takes over worldwide responsibility for around 20 plants and all technical functions of the major engineered wood manufacturer. Dr. Hopperdietzel (40) completed his studies in process engineering at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany) where he then worked as a scientific assistant in the field of process automation and production systems. He subsequently obtained his doctorate in engineering (Dr. Ing.) in 1995. Since 1995, Dr. Hopperdietzel has been working for Rehau AG & Co, Rehau and has been a member of that company's board of management, with responsibility for operations since 2002. The business segment engineered wood, Pfleiderer AG is one of Europe’s top system providers for engineered wood products and melamine faced chipboard, as well as for leading edge rail track sleeper technology.
