Strike shut down production in all M-real's Finnish mills on Monday , May 15, in the morning at 06.00 a.m. due to the paper workers protesting against personnel reductions. The strike will last until 06.00 a.m. on May 17. The estimated cost of the strike to M-real is about Euro 4 million due to lost production. M-real is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of paperboard and related services, coated and uncoated fine paper and coated magazine paper.
