Södra has appointed Cecilia Karlsson as its new chief financial officer. She will take up the role on December 1, 2026, and will become a member of the company's group executive management team, according to Södra.

Karlsson joins Södra from the energy company Öresundskraft, where she serves as chief financial officer. She previously held finance leadership roles at IKEA and Findus and has several years of experience at McKinsey. She holds a Master of Science in Engineering degree from Chalmers University of Technology.

She will succeed Magnus Örnberg, who has decided to pursue a role closer to his home and family in Stockholm. Örnberg will remain with Södra until early 2027 to support the leadership transition.
