Jun 18, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. The Russian competition authorities have approved the acquisition of ZAO Giprobum Engineering in Russia. The acquisition has been completed and becomes effective immediately. Pöyry will consolidate the result and balance sheet of Giprobum Engineering as of July 1, 2007. The company will onwards operate under the name ZAO Giprobum-Pöyry. Pöyry is a global consulting and engineering firm focusing on the energy, forest industry and infrastructure & environment sectors. Pöyry's net sales in 2006 amounted to about Euro 620 million and it employs 6 400 experts.
