The exports of timber were valued at $14.8 million in 2010, up 65% compared to 2009, ITTO reported. In December 2010, exports of timber totalled $1.6 million, 10.6% higher than in December 2009 at $1.4 million. In November 2010, exports of timber totalled $2.3 million, a 177% jump over the same month in 2009. The US was the main buyer of timber worth $8.5 million, followed by Canada ($2.8 million), and Iraq ($2 million).
