Nov 30, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. A mill producing wood particleboard commissioned by Altai-Forest transferred to a 24-hour operation. This will allow producing another 2,620 cubic meters of wood particleboard by the end of the year. Since the project was implemented, about 3,000 cubic meters were produced. Volume of wood particleboard sales in nine months of 2009 amounted to 7.87 million roubles.
Presently specialists of the enterprise are working hard to expand sales market for this product which is in high demand. In September, sales volume exceeded 5 million roubles. Launch of the mill allowed Altai-Forest LLC to attract sawmilling waste (chips and dust) in processing as well as non-market wood.
Presently, wood particleboard production lines utilize over 15% of sawmilling waste, while by the end of the year, as production capacity of the new mill grows, this figure may increase by another ten percent, up to 24% of wood waste will be directed for wood processing. By the end of the year, Altai-Forest company will launch two production lines utilizing wood waste.
Total cost of the investment project exceeds 200,000 roubles. The first stage of the project was launch of small-sized market wood processing in early 2009. Presently, two more facilities are being constructed: one producing wood pellets from chips and dust, another converting non-standard wood.
