Jul 28, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Andritz BMB in Bülach, Switzerland – member of the international technology Group Andritz – will supply a curtain coater to the Cham Paper Group, Switzerland. The machine traded under the brand name PrimeCoat Curtain will be equipped with a multi-layer nozzle and integrated into an existing offline coating range at the Cham plant. Commissioning is planned for January 2009. The machine’s working width is 3,280 mm, the maximum construction speed is 1,000 m/min. In addition to the coating aggregate, the order comprises a workstation with ventilation, the extension of the air drying as well as assembly, commissioning, and training. The curtain coater from Andritz BMB will be used for special papers and for the production of novel coated papers with special surface properties and functions. The curtain coater can be operated with coating-free edge as well as holohedrally.
