Oct 08, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Weyerhaeuser Company announced that Anne Giardini has been named president of the company’s Canadian subsidiary, Weyerhaeuser Company Limited. Giardini takes a role held by Craig Neeser, who retired from Weyerhaeuser effective October 1. Giardini will continue to be based in Vancouver, BC. “Anne has a strong understanding of our Canadian operations and relationships,” said Dan Fulton, Weyerhaeuser Company President and CEO, in announcing the appointment. “Her energy, dedication and passion for excellence will serve all of us extremely well as we work to provide imaginative, sustainable solutions to the challenges facing our industry today.” Anne Giardini joined Weyerhaeuser in 1994 as legal counsel and served as assistant general counsel before becoming vice president and general counsel in 2006. An author and journalist, Giardini was a columnist for Canada’s National Post for several years. Weyerhaeuser Company Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Company, one of the world’s largest forest products companies.
