Austrian plant construction company Kresta filed an application with the German Antitrust Authority for the takeover of paper machinery manufacturer Pama Papiermaschinen GmbH, Kresta said on December 1, 2005. Pama with a staff of 124 generates an average annual turnover of Euro 20 million. The company, which manufactures machinery for the pulp and paper industry sells its products in Europe and Asia. Kresta is 60% owned by Graz-based industrial plant construction firm GAW. Nearly 60% of Kresta's turnover is generated from paper machinery and equipment. The company is active worldwide. It increased its turnover by one third to nearly Euro 33 million in 2004 and expects Euro 40 million in 2005.
