Jul 01, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. By late 2006 DS Smith (UK) may invest $20 million in Rubezhansky cardboard and tare enterprise (Ukraine). The investment plan includes the modernization of PM-2 in order to increase its production capacity by 30 thousand tons/yr, expansion of pulpwood preparation line and provide additional investments in the production of corrugated tare. In 2004 Rubezhansky produced 26.257 thousand tons of corrugated cardboard and 162.332 million sq m of corrugated tare. Rubezhansky specializes in the production of paper for corrugation, corrugated cardboard and tare, occupies 30% of the Ukrainian market of corrugated goods. 34.8% of the enterprise’s shares are owned by DSS Eastern Europe Limited (UK), 40.14% - are owned by a non-resident individual.
