Chesapeake invests in new flexo label press
Oct 22, 2012. Chesapeake has invested in a new Mark Andy P7 flexo label press which has been installed at its Fairfield site in New Jersey, USA. The Mark Andy P7 flexo press is equipped with 8 UV and Hot Air flexo print units. The machine set-up is fully automated, print quality is monitored and adjusted at any manufacturing speed across a full range of substrates.
Oct 22, 2012. /Lesprom Network/. Chesapeake has invested in a new Mark Andy P7 flexo label press which has been installed at its Fairfield site in New Jersey, USA, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Gene Lepelletier, Fairfield’s Operations Manager, commented, “The new Mark Andy press will support our growth plans and extend our capabilities. We can now produce a greater range of labels particularly complex designs requiring a high number of colours. The P7 press is also equipped with many quality control and time-saving features which will help us strengthen the quality and service levels we deliver to our customers.”
The Mark Andy P7 flexo press is equipped with 8 UV and Hot Air flexo print units. The machine set-up is fully automated, print quality is monitored and adjusted at any manufacturing speed across a full range of substrates. The Mark Andy P7 is ideal for short run lengths where a rapid changeover is essential.
The new press investment is part of a major global investment program which has benefited all Chesapeake’s site including the installation of additional equipment at operations in Evansville, Lexington, Long Island and Raleigh.
Gene Lepelletier went onto say, “We were immediately impressed with the increased automation and environmental related improvements. The inline quality inspection system from AVT as well as the automatic register functions of the new press will enable us to maintain even greater product consistency for our customers. The efficiency improvements will also significantly reduce both ink and material waste helping us to meet our environmental goals.”
